However, in the latest issue of the Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, an article was published suggesting a different origin of anomalous luminaries. According to Armstrong, such a scenario can explain why the stars in the globular clusters of the Large Magellanic Cloud are either very old or very young without intermediate stars. The absorption of the neighboring galaxy was supposed to provoke a powerful outbreak of star formation, which resulted in the simultaneous formation of a large number of new stars.
