Versailles - Palace Number One
To see the Palace of Versailles (Fr. Château de Versailles) was the second goal of visiting Paris (about the first goal). He served as home to kings from 1682 to 1789, before the French Revolution. He played a tremendous role in history. It is believed that the Versailles palace and park ensemble is the most beautiful in the world. I went to check.
The palace is located 20 km from Paris in the royal town of Versailles.
Despite the ticket purchased in advance, I had to stand for more than an hour in the long queue to enter inside.
The main gate shining Versailles.
Fragment of the external facade of the palace with a clock.
Chic interiors of the palace.
King Louis XIV - the main resident of the palace.
Royal fireplace. They say that because of the strong savings during construction, there were not fire places in all the rooms in the palace and it was warm.
In the Mirror Hall. On the walls of the 70-meter hall there are 17 large mirrors. In 1919, the Treaty of Versailles was signed in this room.
Luxurious royal bed.
Gallery of battles.
Gardens and palace park of grand dimensions.
Palm trees in Versailles.
Versailles from the window of the plane.
And the Eiffel Tower.
